New this Year at the Community Center: We had our first annual
Turkey Bowling event this year that raised $1,500 for our recreation
department. These funds are used to make improvements that all
community members are able to use. Ice skates are available
to anyone in the community without a charge and may be obtained
on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-3:30 p.m. or by calling (715)
850-1473 or (414) 333-2817 and scheduling an appointment. Check

Community Events: The Riverview Fire Department Picnic, scheduled
for September 1st will honor past fire chiefs and members. If
anyone has pictures, news releases or stories to tell from past

Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP): Boundary Lake
has been selected to participate in a community brush and chipping
project because of its' high risk for wildfire. This will be
scheduled for the 1st and 2nd weekend in June. The project is
funded by the WI DNR with an in-kind match from the landowners,
who will donate their labor gathering the brush to be chipped.
Tax Collection: 2011 tax bills will be mailed by the County
in mid-December. You will receive a separate mailer for each
parcel that you own. The first installment is due by January
31st, 2012 and should be mailed to: Riverview Treasurer, P.O.
Box 220, Mountain, WI 54149. If you would like a receipt, you
MUST enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. NO receipts
will be mailed without one. Hours for in-person collection are
on Tuesdays 9:00am-Noon at the Riverview Town Hall from December
20th - January 31st, and at the Crooked Lake Community Center,
15545 County W on Saturday, January 28th 10:00am-12:00pm. Payments
should made by check or money order.
Dog Owners: Dog owners in the Town of Riverview, who keep
a dog more than 5 months of age as of January 1st of each year,
or 5 months of age within a license year, are required under
Wisconsin Statue Chapter 174 to obtain a dog license. The license
fee is $3.00 for Neutered Males and Spayed Females; $8.00 for
Males and Females; and $35.00 for a Multiple Dog License for
4 dogs or more. ($3.00 for each additional dog over 12). To
obtain a license, complete a registration form and send a separate
check with the required fee as stated above to the Riverview
Treasurer, and a tag and license will be returned to you. The
registration form is available on the website or by stopping
at Town of Riverview Town Hall.
Town Officials: Your town board is here to serve you and our
community. We are available to speak on Town issues for your
group meetings if requested. Town Board meetings are held the
2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm and the minutes of each board
meeting are posted on our website. The officials for the Town

The office hours for the Clerk are Tuesdays and Thursdays from
9:30am-3:30pm. Regular office hours for the Treasurer after
the tax collection season are on the 1st Tuesday of the month
from 9:00am-Noon.

Recycling Ordinance and Recycling Center Hours: You are required
to display your recycling permit at both recycling centers.
If you do not have one, contact the Town Clerk during scheduled
office hours. Compost units are available for $40 at each
site.
Summer Hours: Winter Hours:
Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday 1pm - 5pm Saturday,
Sunday and Wednesday 1pm - 4pm
Summer hours begin Memorial Day weekend and end after Labor
Day weekend. Furniture will only be accepted during the summer-scheduled
hours. Please note the new Summer Hours!
Brush Site Hours: May 1st through November 15th Saturdays
11am - 3pm.
