Riverview Town Board Meeting
MINUTES FOR MONTH OF MAY 2010


Meeting agendas were posted at the town's three posting boxes by Clerk Bubolz on May 7, 2010.

The meeting was called to order by Ann Hogan, Town Chairperson on May 11, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall/Fire Station located at 15471 State Highway 32.

Board members present were Chairperson Hogan, Supervisor Trosch, Supervisor Booth, Clerk Bubolz and Treasurer Smith. All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 17 townspeople present.

The chairperson asked if the Open Meeting Law had been complied with. The Clerk so certified. Chairperson Hogan requested a motion to have item 8a & b follow communication. Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to amend agenda per request”. Motion carried.

MINUTES
Copies of the minutes of the April 13, 2010 Board Meeting and April 16 and April 29, 2010 Special Meetings had been given to Board members. A motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to accept the Minutes.” Motion carried.

REPORTS

FINANCIAL REPORT.
Treasurer Smith read the April Financial Report. Ending balance in town regular accounts as of April 30, 2010 is $467,012.70. Supervisor Booth made a motion “to approve Financial Report”. Trosch seconded. Motion carried.

BILLS AND VOUCHERS:
Approval of checks #10750 to 10794 in General Account. Motion “to pay the bills as presented” made by Trosch and seconded by Booth. Motion carried.

COMMUNICATIONS:
1) Web site-No Items.

ROAD REPORT:
1). Working on Shoulders and Summer List of Projects. Discussed ATV Safety on Town Roads and Town responsibility

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
Riverview Fire Department: Two tree/Power Line fires.
Crooked Lake by Wally Remic: One yard fire. Department received replacement Engine.

AMBULANCE REPORT by Judy Wanner and Supervisor Booth:
Next meeting on May 13, 2010, bids are due on Purchase of Ambulance.

LAND USE REPORT: by Harlan Trosch.
Commission forwarded a Building proposed construction deposit agreement to the town. Board will review at the June meeting. Commission discussed Town hall Property plan.

CEMETERY REPORT by Dick Booth:
No report.

ANIMAL CONTROL REPORT by Mike Rzepka:
No calls for Riverview. Mike has received some training toward his requirement..

RECYCLING REPORT by Harlan Trosch:
Rolloffs will be available Memorial Weekend. County will sponsor a Clean Sweep May 2011. Compost Boxes are available for $40.00 at the Recycling Centers.

WISCONSIN TOWNS REPORT: by Ann Hogan.
No report.

LAKE ASSOCIATION REPORT: by Harlan Trosch.
Milfoil seems to be under control and District is only planning on spraying six acres this year.

SIX TOWNS MEETING: by Ann Hogan.
Court System was deemed to be to expensive. Towns plan on being more active in Community Affairs.

OLD BUSINESS:
None.

NEW BUSINESS

a. T.R.I.P Projects bids were opened. A motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to accept Northeast Asphalt Bid in the amount of $96,210.20.” Motion carried.

Gravel proposals were opened. Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to accept Mountain Stoneworks proposal for 2010 stone.” Motion carried.

Seal Coat Surfacing with Single chips and slag were opened. Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to accept Fahrner Asphalt proposal for stone chips in the amount of $13,780.80 per mile and slag in the amount of $11,457.60 per mile”. Motion carried.

Hot Mix Asphalt proposals were opened. Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to accept Northeast Asphalt proposal for 2010 Hot Mix Asphalt.” Motion carried.

Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to approve operators license for Wendy Lee Lindburg.” Motion carried.

Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Hogan “to approve Picnic License for Crooked Lake Fire Department for May 30, 2010.” Motion carried with Trosch abstaining.

Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to approve Picnic License for Crooked Lake Sportsman for July 3, 2010.” Motion carried.

Discussed request from Mountain Fire Department Auxiliary for donation to July 3, 2010 Fireworks Display. Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to approve $200.00 donation”. Motion carried.

Landscaping between Blacktop and Flag Pole was discussed. Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to have Paal Hansen install landscape brick.” Motion carried.

Jim Wisneski presented a report on ATV Club activities: all parties were notified of Ordinance, signage is completed, working with Forest Service on access to Nicolet Trail, club has 140 members.

Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to approve Picnic License for Nicolet Plastics for June 5, 2010.” Motion carried.

CITIZEN INPUT
Discussion was had concerning use of Town Hall Property by Salt Shed,

ADJOURNMENT
Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to adjourn.” Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:39 p.m. and the next meeting is scheduled for June 8, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverview Town Hall/Fire Station at 15471 Highway 32.
