Riverview Town Board Meeting
MINUTES FOR MONTH OF DECEMBER 2009

Meeting agendas were posted at the town's three posting boxes by Clerk A.R.Bubolz December 3, 2009. The meeting was called to order by Ann Hogan, Town Chairperson at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall/Fire Station located at 15471 State Highway 32. Board members present were Chairperson Hogan, Supervisor Trosch, Supervisor Booth, Clerk Bubolz and Treasurer Smith. All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 7 townspeople present. The chairperson asked if the Open Meeting Law had been complied with. The Clerk so certified.

MINUTES
Copies of the minutes of the November 10, 2009 Board Meeting and Budget Workshop minutes had been given to Board members. A motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “ to accept the Minutes.” Motion carried.

REPORTS

FINANCIAL REPORT.
Treasurer Smith read the November Financial Report. Ending balance in town regular accounts as of November 30, 2009 is $280,628.32. Supervisor Trosch made a motion “to approve Financial Report”. Booth seconded. Motion carried.

BILLS AND VOUCHERS:
Approval of checks #10456 to 10520 in General Account. Motion “to pay the bills as presented” made by Booth and seconded by Trosch. Motion carried. .

COMMUNICATIONS.
1) Web site-No Items.
2) Report by Chairperson Hogan on Saturday, December 12, 2009 Christmas Activities planned.

ROAD REPORT:
1). TRIP program was approved in the amount of $20,000.00 for Blacktopping on Tar Dam(Sullivan Springs to Niemann Road).
2) County will try and clean Bridge Drain on Tar Dam.
3) Shallow Lane project is completed.

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
Riverview Fire Department: One fire.
Crooked Lake by Wally Remic: No calls.

AMBULANCE REPORT by Judy Wanner and Supervisor Booth:
Purchase of Ambulance and Equipment Truck was approved by all three towns.

LAND USE REPORT: by Harlan Trosch.
Planning commission discussed long-term plans for Highway 32 town property.

CEMETERY REPORT by Dick Booth:
No Report.

ANIMAL CONTROL REPORT by Mike Rzepka:
Five calls last month.

RECYCLING REPORT by Harlan Trosch:
No report.

WISCONSIN TOWNS REPORT: by Ann Hogan.
Board attended workshop on Future Sustainable Energy and Resource Utilization held last week.

LAKE ASSOCIATION REPORT: by Harlan Trosch.
No Meeting

SIX TOWNS MEETING: by Ann Hogan.
Working on Ordinances and Fees.

OLD BUSINESS

Gypsy Moth grant application was filed with the County and is pending.

NEW BUSINESS

A motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to approve Standard Template for all Six Township for Various Ordinances.” Motion carried.

Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to approve Recycling Centers Summer Hours of 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday and Winter Hours of 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.” Motion carried.

Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to approve Brush Site Hours of 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays starting May 1st to November 15.” Motion carried.

Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to adopt the Summary 2010 Budget.” Motion carried.

2010 Newsletter was discussed. It was decided to send out a newsletter using Bulk rate. Board members are to furnish Treasurer Smith with any items for the newsletter. The Treasurer will be collecting at the Town Hall on Tuesday’s, 9:00 a.m. to noon from December 15, 2009 to January 31, 2010 and at Crooked Lake on January 30, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

A motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to approve an order pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 86.04, Highway Encroachment-have property owner on Mountain Lakes Road remove encroachments in Town of Riverview Right-of-Way and direct Attorney Leege to notify property owner and demand removal of same.” Motion carried

CITIZEN INPUT

Questions pertaining to items to be included in recreational park at Town Hall/Fire Station.

ADJOURNMENT
“Motion to adjourn” made by Trosch, seconded by Booth. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. and the next meeting is scheduled for December 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Riverview Town Hall/Fire Station at 15471 Highway 32.
