Notices for this meeting were posted at the town's three posting
boxes by Clerk A.R.Bubolz on June 5, 2008.
The meeting was called to order by Ann Hogan, Town Chairperson
at 7:00 p.m. on June 10, 2008 at the Crooked Lake Community Center
located at 15445 County Highway W.
Board members present were Chairperson Ann Hogan, Supervisors
Trosch , Supervisor Booth, Clerk Bubolz and Treasurer Smith.
All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately
25 townspeople present.
The chairperson asked the Clerk to certify that the Open Meeting
Law had been complied with. The Clerk so certified.
MINUTES
Copies of the minutes of the May 13, 2008 Board Meeting had been
given to Board members. A motion to accept the Board minutes
was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth. Motion carried.
REPORTS
FINANCIAL REPORT
Treasurer Smith read the May Financial Report. Ending balance
in town regular accounts as of May 31, 2008 is $431,033.75. Supervisor
Booth made a motion to approve Financial Report.
Trosch seconded. Motion carried.
BILLS AND VOUCHERS
Approval of checks #9557 to 9605 in General Account. Motion to
pay the bills as presented made by Trosch and seconded
by Booth. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATIONS

Mountain Fireworks was discussed. A motion was made by Booth
and seconded by Trosch to donate $200.00 to Mountain Fireworks
Celebration. Motion carried. |
ROAD REPORT
1) Martin Lane shouldering is done. Shoulders will be
checked for washouts. Board will check Rice Lane and drainage
problem on West Crooked Lake Lane.
FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
Riverview Fire Department: One transformer fire.
Crooked Lake by Wally Remic. One Brush fire-1/2 acre.
AMBULANCE REPORT by Judy Wanner and Supervisor
Booth.
Two EMTs completed their training.
LAND USE REPORT by Harlan Trosch.
Land Use Committee recommends the Land Division of Gary Brey
be approved. Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch
to recommend approval of the Land Division with condition
Mr. Brey dedicate 8 ft of Right of Way on the east side of Vandehei
Lane and also dedicate ½ of a 70 foot cul-de-sac as proposed
by the County Land Office with the Town of Riverview furnishing
a culvert and constructing a temporary turn around at the end
of the road and Mr. Brey furnishing up $1000.00 toward the construction
costs if Land Division is approved by County. Motion carried.
CEMETERY REPORT by Dick Booth.
None.
ANIMAL CONTROL REPORT by Mike Rzepka.
One call last month.
RECYCLING REPORT by Harlan Trosch.
Trosch attended County recycling meeting held at Kelly Lake.
RESEARCH COMMITTEE REPORT by Wally Remic:
No meeting.
WISCONSIN TOWNS REPORT by Ann Hogan.
No report.
LAKE ASSOCIATION REPORT by Harlan Trosch.
New Officers were elected, Arliss Ausloos is still President.
NINE TOWN MEETING by Ann Hogan.
Next meeting is in Lakewood on June 19, 2008.
OLD BUSINESS

a. Occupancy permit was received for New Town Hall/Fire Station
Building. Building Grant monies are being requested. |

b. Vacant Town property on Crooked Lake which was requested to
be sold by adjoining land owner, Gary Campbell, at 15547 E Crooked
Lake Lane was discussed. A motion was made by Booth and seconded
by Trosch to have the Town of Riverview retain ownership
for possible future use by the public for which it was originally
intended. Motion carried. |

c. June 7, 2008 Open House/Dedication was reviewed and considered
a success. |

d. |
d. Discussed ATV Crooked Lake route. Mike Maus, ATV Club President
stated signs have been installed and route cleared so Clerk will
publish the ordinance the week of June 15, 2008. Mr. Maus next
discussed the proposed route from Crooked Lake to Lakewood via
the Nicolet Recreation Trail. A motion was made by Trosch and
seconded by Booth to approve a Ordinance for the ATV Club
to use the following roads for a ATV route to Lakewood until
Forest Services provides alternate Forest Land routes, 2.1 miles
of LaFave, 1.9 miles of Holts Ranch, 1.8 miles of Sullivan Springs,
.9 miles of Tar Dam, 2.3 miles of Niemann, .25 miles of Shallow,
.3 miles of Old 32, and 2.1 miles of Loon Rapids Road. The same
conditions will be in effect between the club and the town as
with the Crooked Lake Agreement. Motion carried with the
clerk preparing the Ordinance when informed by the ATV Club that
they are ready to proceed with the trail. |
NEW BUSINESS

A motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch to approve
Liquor Licenses for 2008/09. Motion carried. |

Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth to approve
Operators Licenses for 2008/09. Motion carried. |

c. |
Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch to approve
new Operators Licenses for Melissa L. Daly, Nancy C. Jensen,
Sherri R. Ables, and Sheena M. Gutzman. Motion carried. |

d. |
Grounds maintenance for new building site was discussed. It was
agreed all seeded area did not need to be cut with small mower
and Trosch would offer cutting job to a current town employee
at current regular town wage and also he would purchase another
lawn trimmer. |

e. |
Fire Truck Storage Reimbursement was discussed. The Town of Riverview
had received a $2200.00 bill from Mountain Ambulance. The item
was tabled and sent back to Mountain Ambulance for reconsideration. |

f. |
Recycling hours were discussed and the matter was tabled. |
|
g. |
A motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch to designate
Riverview Town Hall at 15471 State Highway 32 as the polling
place for Town of Riverview residents for the Fall Elections.
Motion carried. |

h. |
The Community Wildfire Protection Plan was discussed. A motion
was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch to approve Resolution
#2-2008 approving CWPP for the Town of Riverview. Motion
carried. |
CITIZEN INPUT
There was a discussion on furnishing Robert Elbe topsoil to fill
voids from the landscape planting-Nels Jensen will take care
of the problem. Tree removal was discussed at Grindle Oaks and
Grindle View-Trosch will tend to the matter.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn made by Booth, seconded by Trosch.
Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:39 p.m. with the next
meeting scheduled for July 8, 2008 at 7:00p.m. at the Riverview
Town Hall.
