Notices for this meeting were posted at the town's three posting boxes by Clerk A.R.Bubolz on March 6, 2008.

The meeting was called to order by Ann Hogan, Town Chairperson at 7:00 p.m. on March 11, 2008 at the temporary Town Hall located in the building provided by Nicolet Plastics at 15618 Maiden Lake Road.

Board members present were Chairperson Ann Hogan, Supervisors Trosch , Supervisor Booth, Clerk Bubolz and Treasurer Smith. All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 6 townspeople present.

The chairperson asked the Clerk to certify that the Open Meeting Law had been complied with. The Clerk so certified.

MINUTES
Copies of the minutes of the February 5, 2008 Board Meeting had been given to Board members. A motion “to accept the Board minutes” was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth. Motion carried.

REPORTS

FINANCIAL REPORT
Treasurer Smith read the February Financial Report. Ending balance in town regular accounts as of February 29, 2008 is $796,954.41. Supervisor Booth made a motion “to approve Financial Report”. Trosch seconded. Motion carried.

BILLS AND VOUCHERS
Approval of checks #9386 to 9450 in General Account. Motion “to pay the bills as presented” made by Booth and seconded by Trosch. Motion carried.

COMMUNICATIONS
1) Web site-None.

ROAD REPORT
1) Road Limits will go on as of 3/15/2008-Clerk will post in Newspaper. Logs piled in the Right of Way along Tar Dam Road between STH 32 and Old 32 was discussed. Board concluded they were a hazard and also interfering with maintenance of the Road. Clerk was instructed to send Cody Schaal a letter instructing him to remove the logs as soon as road limits are removed.

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
Riverview Fire Department: One call.
Crooked Lake by Wally Remic. One call.

AMBULANCE REPORT by Judy Wanner and Supervisor Booth.
No meeting in February.

LAND USE REPORT by Harlan Trosch.
Land Use Committee discussed Casey Ludwig pending application for Conditional Use Permit at the last meeting. Casey was present and presented material for Land Use Committee.

CEMETERY REPORT by Dick Booth.
None.

ANIMAL CONTROL REPORT by Mike Rzepka.
One call last month. Mike reported education of 6-7 hours at Appleton is scheduled for the end of the month.

RECYCLING REPORT by Harlan Trosch.
None.

RESEARCH COMMITTEE REPORT by Wally Remic:
No meeting.

WISCONSIN TOWNS REPORT by Ann Hogan.
Discussed the topics that were covered at the district workshop.

LAKE ASSOCIATION REPORT by Harlan Trosch.
No meeting.

NINE TOWN MEETING by Ann Hogan.
Next meeting is in Mountain on March 13, 2008.

COUNTYWIDE MITIGATION PLAN.
Ann did not attend last meeting.

OLD BUSINESS
 a. Construction of the Fire Department Building was discussed and is progressing.
 b. Treasurer discussed the grants. Monies are almost all allocated.
 c. Vacant Town property on Crooked Lake was discussed. Clerk sent a letter to property owner at 15551 East Crooked Lake Lane on March 4, 2008 to see if they are interested. No response to date.
 d. No further plans on June 7, 2008 Open House/Dedication.

NEW BUSINESS
 a. April’s Board Meeting will be held Wednesday April 2, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Proposals on Assessor’s Plat will be opened and discussed. Clerk will send out information to Surveyors and Property Owners.
 b. Clerk informed the Board that we presently have (8) “Class B” Liquor Licenses issued and when the Town of Riverview population exceeds 1051 one more license will be available.
 c. Motion was made by Booth and seconded by Trosch “to go into closed session to discuss candidates for Recycling Center.” Hogan-aye, Trosch-aye, Booth-aye. Motion carried.


Motion was made by Trosch and seconded by Booth “to return to open session.” Motion carried. The following candidates will be interviewed: James Hileman, Gerald Christensen Sr. and William VandeBloomer on March 19, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.

CITIZEN INPUT
Crooked Lake citizens would like a town meeting held at Crooked Lake. The Board will plan one this summer.

ADJOURNMENT
“Motion to adjourn” made by Booth, seconded by Trosch. Motion carried and meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. with the next meeting scheduled for April 2, 2008 at 7:00p.m. at the temporary Town Hall at 15618 Maiden Lake Road.
