Notices for this meeting were posted at the Towns three
posting sites.
Meeting was called to order by Chairman MacIntosh at 6:00
pm. Commissioners present were Bob MacIntosh, Harley Trosch,
Gail Davis, Elsie Jensen and Erv Limberg. Others present were
Secretary Butler and Mary Beth Ryan.
Action Taken:
Approval of Minutes from the July 29, 2008 meeting. Motion made
by Jensen, seconded by Davis and passed unanimously.
Discussion:
Request for Land Division from Rodney and Mary Beth Ryan. The
property to be divided borders Marinette County and creates a
unique problem regarding an undersized lot with no direct road
access in Oconto County. The Land Division has already been accepted
and approved by Oconto County. Road access to the lot is located
in Marinette county on land also owned by the Ryans. Motion
to recommend approval of the Land Division was made by Limberg,
seconded by Davis and passed unanimously.
Report on Milfoil in Maiden Lake:
Erv Limberg gave a report on the recently discovered Milfoil
problem on Maiden Lake. Grants and mitigation help are available.
A survey needs to be done on the entire lake and treatment plans
would follow. The Maiden Lake Club will be involved in the process.
Rustic Roads/Bike Trails progress report.
Chairman MacIntosh is trying to get Lakewood Sports to head up
the Bike Club to be involved in the creation of a mapped bike
trail route. Elsie Jensen and Gail Davis will chair coordination
to proceed with the formal process to create a Rustic Road designation
for Old Hwy 32 from Lakewood to Mountain. Mountain has indicated
an interest in the project.
Other Business:
Creation of an Adopt a Tree program was discussed.
The Town Board will discuss it at their meeting on Sept. 4th.
